As soon as you cross the long bridge over the sparkling waterway and follow the coastline to Reid's Place at the tip, your body starts to de-stress. This wonderful sunny peninsula has all the activities and amenities you could possibly need; without the traffic, noise and hassles of the more crowded tourist destinations. Reid's Place is located on a quiet street just a few minutes stroll from the beach and marina. The Reid's garden and the surrounding streets and parks teem with local birdlife.

You can take a relaxing stroll through the parks, swim at the beach in the calm clean water, hire a boat and catch some local fish or jump on board a tour boat to see the dolphins and whales.

Beth and Rob can suggest and organise many activities for you, from tours of the hinterland or Australia Zoo to a romantic dinner at a local waterfront restaurant.

Scarborough, just north of Redcliffe, is ideally located to access the unspoilt beauty of Moreton Bay or to explore the many wonderful places to visit on the Sunshine Coast.

This half acre property is one of the largest on the peninsula and is renowned for its beautiful gardens.

Both the cottages and the main house are surrounded by spacious shady verandahs which overlook the gorgeous colourful garden beds.

At the other end of the flower filled long arbour you enter a courtyard which is shaded by one of the largest mango trees you'll ever see. Open the quaint garage doors and you'll find Rob's impressive collection of vintage cars, one of which - the rare 1934 Terrplane Phaeton is used for wedding ceremonies and local tours.

Enter the first hedged garden through the archway and you'll be enchanted with the chapel where hundreds of brides and grooms have declared their love for each other.
The second hedged garden features fountains, fishponds and masses of flowering plants - the ideal spot for a cocktail party or to hideaway from the world and relax.

5 minutes walk in any direction along the leafy strees and you'll find the stunning coastline. Stroll through the parks, relax on the beach or dine at one of the lovely waterfront cafes. Whatever you do during your time here, the one thing you won't want to do is leave this place!
